2020 vs 2021 Nissan Maxima
The Nissan Maxima has been a top choice for consumers desiring a large car. With the arrival of the 2021 Nissan Maxima, enthusiasts are wondering what the difference is between the 2020 vs. 2021 Nissan Maxima. At Lynnes Nissan, we take a closer look at the latest updates to the Maxima lineup.
2021 Nissan Maxima Updates
In 2021, Nissan chose to simplify the Maxima lineup, creating fewer trim levels to choose from. With the removal of the base-level S and midlevel SL trims, you don’t have to spend so much time deciding which Maxima to drive. Now, you have the option between the SV, SR or Platinum trim levels, with the SV taking the spot as the base model.
Because Nissan chose to up the base model, drivers gain access to more standard features than in previous years. For example, the SV comes complete with a navigation system, leather upholstery, a Wi-Fi hot spot, heated front seats, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and more.
The other big addition for 2021 is the 40th Anniversary Edition package, a limited-production offering for the Platinum trim. This exclusive package includes a 40th Anniversary badge, grey and black exterior accents, plus red leather seats that have 40th Anniversary stitching.
Pre-Owned Maxima
You can still gain a lot from an older Maxima model. In fact, the 2020 Nissan Maxima was the first to include the Safety Shield 360 suite with all models. It also gained a panoramic moonroof and surround-view parking camera with the SR trim. You could go with a pre-owned 2018 Nissan Maxima, which also comes standard with Android Auto, automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning. With all the available models, it’s easy to get exactly what you want.
